| Origin of the Company Name “Rock Field” |
| |
| The name “Rock Field” is an English
translation of the two characters of the family name of the founder and current
president and CEO of the company, Kozo Iwata: “iwa” means “rock” and “ta” means
“field.” The young Iwata thought of the name during travels to the U.S., when
he was struck by the similarity of the sound to the industrial giant name “Rockefeller.” |
